Former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Kaduna state, Mr.Jonathan Kish Adamu has said that the seed of hate speech was sown by the present administration.
Adamu, a former law maker at the Kaduna state House of Assemnly who served as justice commissioner in the administration of late governor Patrick Yakowa, was reacting to comments by Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the president on media.
Shehu had accused the media for alleged on unfair reportage of the Benue killings by herdsmen, saying that a segment of the media is “sinking deep into the mesh of hate speech.”
However, Adamu noted on his Facebook page that the seed of hate speech was actually sown by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and their supporters in the run up to the 2015 elections in a desperate effort to grab power.
“You reap what you sow. Simple! The seed of hate speech was sown by this government and it’s supporters in the run up to the 2015 elections in a desperate effort to win power” he said.
“Now that it has gotten out of hand they are complaining. Did they expect a different result? They have to fix what they created and not lament. I  pray Nigeria recovers from it. We must resist this ‘get power at all cost, by all means syndrome” Adamu posted on his Facebook page.
